Good quality but black sole of heel - size fits perfectly according to size guide

The leather is very soft and comfortable. The heel is plastic. The sole of the heel is black rubber. It is not slippery, which is good. Unfortunately the sole of the heel is black which does not look very authentic as the soles of the heels would have been leather in the 18th century and therefore leather-coloured as is the front part of the sole of the Schuylers. I wonder about the black sole of the heel, but still I like my Schuylers - they are comfortable wearing on rough ground all day and the size fits perfectly according to size guide and the length of my foot.
